Job Description
Required QualificationsBachelor's degree from an accredited educational institution.
Professional experience in business, office administration, computer applications, information technology, workforce training, or a closely related field.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with diverse learners.
Preferred QualificationsExperience teaching or training adult learners, including ESOL students or students developing foundational academic skills.
Experience teaching Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint or related productivity tools.
Experience with instruction in digital literacy, workplace technology, reading, math, language, communication, or workforce readiness skills.
Experience preparing students for Microsoft Office Specialist or other technology-related industry certification exams.
Familiarity with workforce education, career pathways, or Integrated Education and Training models.
Current or prior Microsoft Office Specialist certification, Microsoft Certified Educator certification, or related technology credential preferred.

Key ResponsibilitiesTeach courses in accordance with college and departmental policies and procedures, as well as Basic Course Information sheets.
Prepare and submit timely grade reports and other reports on student performance as scheduled or required.
Organize class activities and assignments, relating them to the overall learning outcomes of the course.
Provide input and work with other faculty and staff to review, produce and/ or select course-related materials.
Knowledge, Skills, & AbilitiesExtensive knowledge of the subject area(s) in which the individual is responsible for instruction.
Knowledge and understanding of the fundamentals of effective communication and of effective instruction.
Knowledge and understanding of the characteristics and challenges of community college students.
Knowledge and understanding of principles of curriculum development.
Computer literate and able to navigate in a Windows environment.
