Job Title
Planner and Coordinator for Student Life Activities
Required QualificationsAssociate degree in Event Management/Recreation, Education, Sports Management, Business Administration, or related field. One (1) year of related work experience.
Key ResponsibilitiesPlans and implements co-curricular programs, events, and activities that reflect student interests and support institutional values and goals. Provides assistance and support with planning and implementing campus and community service activities at all campuses. Assists with the student Commencement ceremony and student award programs, including Awards Convocation, PTK Induction, and SGA Club Banquet. Assists with student travel, student club funding, student communication, student outreach and leadership programs, including student clubs, student publications, and intramural sporting activities, and serving as SGA and PTK advisor as needed.
Provides guidance, supervision, and support to SGA, PTK and other student organizations. Supports departmental efforts to promote Student Life activities in print and online media. Gathers information and maintains records to support monthly, yearly, periodic, and special reports documenting activities and events. Assists with the planning and facilitation of intramural sports events and activities. Manages the set up and maintenance of storage areas, supplies, and equipment for student programs and activities.
Manages the request process for the purchase of items for events and activities for Student Life, student clubs, and organizations. Assists with and supports the functions of the Residence Hall as needed. Collaborates with other areas and departments to identify and support activities of benefit to the entire College. Supports efforts to create opportunities for students to develop leadership, teamwork, communication, and organization skills.
Assist Student Development as required for events, activities and student support. Other duties and special projects as assigned and directed by the President or their designee.
Requires proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel and experience with work order systems and People Soft. Requires ability to compile information, maintain records, create, maintain, and generate various Student Life reports. Requires excellent verbal and written skills. Must have excellent customer service. Must have strong organizational and time-management skills.
