Adjunct Instructor
Required Qualifications:A Master's degree in English from an accredited educational institution or a Master's degree from an accredited educational institution with 18 graduate semester hours in English.
Preferred Qualifications:Previous teaching experience.

Key Responsibilities:Teach courses in accordance with college and departmental policies and procedures, as well as Master Course Descriptions. Provide a course syllabus which includes classroom policies, procedures, grading, and learning outcomes. Use instructional technology methods when presenting course content. Communicate effectively and efficiently with students. Organize class activities, assignments, and assessments, relating them to the overall student learning outcomes of the course.
Use appropriate and up-to-date course materials, including learning objectives, texts, and supplementary teaching materials. Apply classroom management strategies in face to face, hybrid, and/or online format. Prepare and submit timely grade reports, attendance verification, and other reports on student performance as may be scheduled or required.
Extensive knowledge of the subject area(s) in which the individual is responsible for instruction. Knowledge and understanding of the fundamentals of effective communication and of effective instruction. Knowledge and understanding of the characteristics and challenges of community college students. Knowledge and understanding of principles of curriculum development. Computer literate and able to navigate in a Windows environment.
