POSITION GOAL:
To provide professional support for improvement in the delivery and effectiveness of instruction in the designated curriculum specialty at assigned levels and student populations To help students meet or exceed learning goals and to master skills for continued schooling or work (from Florida Statutes 1002.38)

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

• 1.
  * Assist in the interpretation, enforcement, and maintenance of all necessary records in accordance with federal, state, and district policy and procedures.
• 2.
  * Use appropriate means to provide a school environment, which is safe, secure, orderly and conducive to learning for the students.
• 3.
  * Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with parents, staff, students and the community.
• 4.
  * Assure confidentiality of any personally identifiable data.
• 5.
  * Coordinate program services for students at the assigned school and serve as a curriculum leader relating to the instructional program.
• 6.
  * Identify master teachers and peer coaches with potential for spreading desirable practices that are consistent with national, state, and district goals.
• 7.
  * Assist the principal in providing leadership for the implementation of state, district and school achievement standards as they relate to students served in the program.
• 8.
  * Support school-based staff in the implementation of program best practices and Department of Education (DoE) programs and requirements.
• 9.
  * Make recommendations regarding program design.
• 10.
  * Develop program materials and services for administration and instructional staff.
• 11.
  * Coordinate resources and materials used by students in the program.
