Student-focused Political Science Adjunct Faculty able to use Canvas and to teach face to face.

• Teach at least 2 courses in accordance with university and departmental policies and procedures
• Prepare course content and syllabus
• Prepare and submit timely grade reports and other reports on student performance
• Organize class activities and assignments, relating to the overall learning outcomes of the course
• Provide input and work with other faculty and staff to review, produce and or select course-related materials

Master’s degree in political science from an accredited educational institution

Minimum of two years teaching experience at a college or university levels

• Master’s degree in political science from an accredited educational institution
• Extensive knowledge of the subject area(s) in which the individual is responsible for instruction
• Knowledge and understanding of the fundamentals of effective communication and of effective instruction
• Knowledge and understanding of the characteristics and challenges of university students
• Computer literate and able to navigate in Windows and Canvas software
• This position may be subject to a criminal background screening as a condition of employment

• Working environment is a normal business office setting.
• Demands normal manual dexterity and visual and auditory acuity.
• Must be mobile throughout the campus.
• Typically, the incumbent may sit comfortably to do the work. However, there may be some walking, standing, bending, or carrying light items.
