- Bachelor's degree in Business, Communication, Finance or closely related field.
- Four (4) years of special events, alumni relations or relevant experience.
Work hours may vary based on the needs of alumni, Foundation, and community engagement activities. The position may require attendance at events and meetings outside of regular College business hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Provide leadership and maintain an alumni organization in support of Daytona State College, including developing activities and events to encourage participation and financial support for the College.
- Create and execute fundraising and sponsorship plans for Foundation-sponsored events and programs.
- Develop an annual plan that outlines goals, objectives, strategies, timelines and evaluation for alumni growth and opportunities for giving.
- Provide organizational support for Foundation strategic initiatives; develops a plan of marketing and communication, with a focus on digital/social media, to support Foundation priorities.
- Assist database administrator with maintaining alumni up-to-date information including documenting correspondence, actions and development strategies, creating mailing lists, coordinating import of newly graduated students into the alumni file, donor/prospect research and more.
- Design and implement comprehensive donor stewardship strategies for alumni donors across all giving levels, strengthening engagement, retention, and long-term support.
- Integrate Alumni Relations prospect development with stewardship efforts to create a unified advancement strategy that supports alumni engagement, donor cultivation, and foundation partnerships.
- Work closely with campus groups and volunteers that serve the interest of the alumni. Build community partnerships to engage with the Foundation and College alumni.
- Other duties and special projects as assigned and directed by the President or their designee.
- Excellent organizational skills, interpersonal and customer service skills
- Demonstrated attention to detail
- Ability to develop and meet goals is required
- Experience with developing and managing budgets is required
- Knowledge of computers, peripherals, and software programs such as Microsoft Suite and donor database management software, such as Raiser's Edge
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, and be flexible to meet the demands of the College
- Take direction as well as work effectively and professionally on their own
