Why This Role Exists

A fast-growing technology services company is expanding its engineering and support organization to keep pace with new client demand and increasingly complex environments. This role is designed for a Systems Administrator who enjoys solving real problems, working hands-on with modern infrastructure, and growing into more advanced engineering work over time.

You’ll start by owning Tier II support and quickly gain exposure to project work, security initiatives, and cloud engineering alongside experienced engineers who are invested in your development.

What You’ll Be Doing

This is a true hybrid role between support and engineering
, not a dead-end help desk seat.

Day to day, you will:

• Resolve escalated support tickets while maintaining strong client communication
• Administer Windows servers, networks, firewalls, and Microsoft 365 environments
• Troubleshoot infrastructure, virtualization, and connectivity issues
• Maintain backups, patching, monitoring, and security controls
• Participate in client onboarding by documenting environments and improving systems
• Support and contribute to infrastructure and security projects from planning to completion
• Rotate through paid on-call coverage once fully trained (typically one weekend every 4–6 weeks)
• Work alongside senior engineers on higher-level initiatives including cloud migrations and security upgrades

The Technical Environment

You’ll work across a broad, modern stack, including:

• Windows Server (2012–2022) & Windows 10/11
• AWS and/or Azure cloud environments
• Backup, DR, and monitoring platforms
