Systems Engineer

A Systems Engineer job in Dayton Beach, FL is currently available  are seeking a Systems Engineer to join our controls team with focus on aerospace and defense. This is a direct, full-time position with benefits. To be considered for this role, you will need a Bachelor of Science degree in the engineering field, and a minimum of 3 years of experience within the aerospace industry, with a preference for defense and space experience or other highly regulated industry experience.

Active secret clearance is required!

• System requirements decomposition, analysis, definition, and traceability
• System requirements verification (closed loop bench, test scripts, results analysis)
• System architecture design (component and subsystem), performance, risk, safety, operation and cost optimization trade studies, and lead / conduct design reviews
• System integration testing, functional testing, validation and verification (integration and test, acceptance test plans, test reports, analysis reports, inspection reports) in a process-oriented environment and compliance with industry regulatory approval standards (Mil Standards, ARP-4754, DO-178C, SYSML)
• Field issues investigations and analysis
• Development of engineering processes & policies
• Candidates are expected to mentor younger engineers, help grow teams, coordinate new business with customers, assist in aligning manpower resources to accomplish key objectives, and report status to technical leads and project managers

• Bachelor of Science degree in systems engineering, aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, equivalent engineering degree from an accredited institution or relevant equivalent experience.
• Security Clearance:
  Active Secret
• 3+ years systems engineering or similar relevant experience in the aerospace or defense industry
• Demonstrated experience in system development where rigorous process and regulatory standards are required, including standards such as ARP-4754, DO-178B/C, Mil Standards
• DOORs tools experience for requirements management
• Proficiency in MBSE, systems tools, simulation testing environments, scripting, programming and analysis (C++/C, Python, Java, Java script, Magic Draw, Rhapsody, CAMEO etc…)
• Ability to deal with ambiguity, investigate and solve problems, work across multi-discipline teams, and to recommend solutions to complex system level problems
• Due to the nature of the work performed, U.S. Citizenship is a requirement.

We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering a salary rate of $104,000 to $150,000 however, Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline.
