Daytona Beach, FL. The Software Security Capability supports programs across the Air Dominance Portfolio within a complex hybrid‑cloud engineering environment. This role is full‑time and requires 100% onsite presence.

• Incorporate key security concepts through the initial planning, design, and implementation of complex engineering environments spanning multiple sites, labs, on‑premise compute, and secure multi‑cloud solutions.
• Collaborate closely with program customers to define security requirements, enable seamless systems integration, and ensure systems verification.
• Engage with multiple engineering disciplines (cloud computing, software engineering—including AI/ML, IaC, and Dev Sec Ops ; systems engineering; data science; Boeing Enterprise Security) to treat security as a primary concern from early design phases.
• Mentor and help build a team of software security engineers, overseeing execution of security capabilities.
• Build and maintain security tools within the Dev Sec Ops  pipeline, enabling Cybersecurity Supply Chain Risk Management, secure coding practices, software assurance, and security policy enforcement.
• Assist in establishing and integrating standards and processes for product security engineering in support of Digital Infrastructure, meeting applicable program and certification requirements.
• Utilize risk engineering and digital thread to inform product requirements surrounding cyber survivability against specified cyber threats through criticality, adversity, and threat analysis for avionics systems.
• Provide security expertise to Air Dominance program management and engineering teams through technical design reviews, program gate reviews, and other independent reviews as needed.

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or a non‑US equivalent qualification directly related to the work statement.
• Level4: 9+ years of related work experience, or equivalent education and experience.
• Level5: 14+ years of related work experience, or equivalent education and experience.
• Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance.
• Experience with networking in cloud environments.
• Experience in cybersecurity solutions architecture, focused on cloud technologies, Dev Sec Ops , and secure system design.
• Experience leading Dev Sec Ops  teams to deploy cloud or on‑prem Dev Sec Ops  solutions.
• Experience with cloud security frameworks and compliance standards such as NIST, FedRAMP, DoDSRG, and DISASTIGs.

• Active Security Clearance (held within the previous two years).
• Experience in Avionic systems architecture, requirements, design, interfaces, platform integration, flight test planning, testing, validation, and verification.
• Experience in software or hardware engineering, requirements, design, development, test, and working with software and hardware.
• Experience aligning operational capabilities to regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements (ISO, NIST, CMMC).
• Experience with data links, crypto, trusted guards, multi‑level security.
• Experience with cyber verification and validation of Avionics systems.
• Certified Application Security Engineer (CASE), Security+, CISSP or equivalent cybersecurity certifications; CISSP preferred.

Requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance and meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. U.S. Person is required.

Pay Range:
Level4: $151,300–$204,700
Level5: $189,550–$256,450
