Automation Engineer, RME, DAB

Requirements

• We need a bachelors degree in computer science, electrical engineering, automation engineering, or a closely related field, or at least 2 years of experience in PLC programming or automation engineering
• We need the ability to work a flexible schedule, including shifts, weekends, nights, and holidays
• We need experience designing, developing, implementing, and supporting PLC-based control systems
• We prefer experience with material handling, flow, and capacity management
• We prefer experience with industrial control systems, including both hardware and software

Responsibilities:

• We serve as the site specialist for maintaining the automation systems that are essential to operations
• We partner with building operations, operations engineering, FC start-up, AFT software, ACES, and safety teams to support MHE optimization and project delivery
• We maintain, troubleshoot, and improve material handling control systems, including PLC/PC controllers, industrial networks, motor control systems, servo drives, frequency drives, and electrical distribution systems
• We monitor MHE performance metrics and work with maintenance and operations teams to resolve system issues and analyze results across the site
• We provide first-line escalation support to site technicians, both on-site and remotely
• We lead failure analysis and incident review activities to support continuous improvement
• We conduct and evaluate building system assessments to strengthen material handling system performance
• We communicate technical concerns and project schedules clearly to building leaders, operations teams, and maintenance staff

This position is based in Daytona, Florida, with an annual salary range of USD 90,000 to 112,500.
