WATKINS GLEN Located within five hours (300 miles) of 25 percent of the U.S. population, Watkins Glen International is the premier road racing facility in North America, three-times voted “Best NASCAR Track” by readers of USA Today. The Glen hosts a diverse portfolio of premier sports car, open wheel and stock car races throughout the year. This is an event position: (Hours vary during events).
Du ration of Position:
April - November Compensation for this position starts at $19.00 per hour but may vary depending on past experience, education, and skills.
Qualifications:
Exceptional Interpersonal and communication skills Reliability and punctuality. Ability to independently resolve problems as they arise Ability to de-escalate and react appropriately to stressful circumstances Ability to work alone and as a team member. Responsibilities:
Provide event specific information to guests Control access into hospitality areas, garages, paddocks and other areas requiring specific credentials Assist with ingress/egress traffic control and parking management Stay attentive and report any suspicious activity observed Utilize provided communication equipment (two-way radios) Respond to incidents and document as necessary Perform other duties as assigned Requirement:
Minimum 18 years of age Valid driver’s license required Ability to obtain a NYS Security Guard license required Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted Must be able to stand for long periods of time Emergency Services experience preferred Reliable transportation to and from the track location Apply Now!
