Financial Analyst I
The Financial Analyst I assists in the preparation of Halifax Health's operational budget and prepares and coordinates distribution of various financial reports and analyses. This individual will assist in preparation of the health systems' operational budget as well as maintain, update and audit financial databases on a monthly basis. The Financial Analyst will act as a liaison with department managers and administrative staff in the preparation and analysis of financial reports to provide information and to resolve problems concerning variances from the approved budget.
Qualifications- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field required
- Minimum of two years prior experience in a financial analysis/budgeting position in a healthcare environment or related field
- Analytical skills and ability to communicate with all levels of management both verbally and in written format
- Strong computer skills
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize responsibilities appropriately
- High degree of energy, self‑confidence, integrity, and self‑motivation
