Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and one (1) year of related experience, or
  • Associate degree and two (2) years of related experience

Applicants should be available to work on-site at one of our designated campus locations.

Responsibilities
  • Counsels students, parents, and faculty on available financial aid programs and accompanying regulations; assists students with application for financial aid.
  • Determines financial aid eligibility (including verification), and awards financial aid in compliance with all federal, state and institutional guidelines.
  • Maintain an updated working knowledge of all federal, state, and institutional rules/regulations pertaining to Financial Aid programs.
  • Maintains record system, gathers and maintains data/information to support periodic and special reports documenting activities for area of responsibility.
  • Work extended hours during peak registration periods as needed and be available a other times during the year as deemed necessary by the Dean.
  • Conduct Financial Aid nights and group presentations when needed.
  • Performs routine office tasks such as data entry, typing correspondence, filing, faxing, telephoning, and photocopying.
  • Other duties and special projects as assigned and directed by the President or their designee.

  • Knowledge of financial aid programs, policies, and procedures.
  • Commitment to the principles of access and providing the best customer service and student support experience to families.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with students and College personnel.
  • Ability to maintain good working relationships with students, parents and coworkers.
  • Ability to organize work and handle multiple responsibilities.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Possess computer skills and have knowledge of software programs including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
