We are seeking a friendly, dependable Front Desk / Medical Assistant to join our close-knit team. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys building relationships with patients, thrives in a smaller practice setting, and is comfortable balancing both administrative and clinical responsibilities. You will be a key part of the patient experience from the first phone call to the end of each visit.

Front

Desk Responsibilities
  • Welcome patients with warmth and professionalism, both in person and on the phone
  • Schedule appointments
  • Check patients in and out, verify demographics and insurance, and collect co-pays
  • Answer phones, patient portal messages, and emails in a timely, compassionate manner
  • Maintain accurate patient records in our EMR system
  • Assist with referrals, prior authorizations, and incoming/outgoing paperwork
  • Protect patient privacy and maintain HIPAA compliance at all times
Clinical Responsibilities
  • Prepare exam rooms and ensure a clean, organized clinical environment
  • Take and record vital signs and patient histories
  • Assist providers during exams and procedures, including pap smears, pelvic exams, prenatal visits, and minor procedures
  • Perform pregnancy tests, urine dips, and other testing as directed
  • Collect and properly label lab specimens
  • Provide patients with basic education and post-visit instructions
  • Stock and maintain medical supplies
What We’re Looking For
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Medical Assistant certification preferred (CMA/RMA)
  • Prior experience in an OB/GYN or women’s health setting is required
  • Comfortable multitasking in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment
  • Friendly, calm, and professional demeanor
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • EMR experience preferred
  • Spanish/Bilingual is a plus
