JOB DESCRIPTION:
This position is located at the Career, Technology, & Training Center for the Blind & Visually Impaired (CTTC) in Daytona Beach. This position will provide direct instruction in computer technology and adaptations which allow blind and visually impaired individuals to succeed.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Florida Department of Education (FDOE) has an open position that is responsible for executing the following functions:
- Provide technological training to Division and contractual staff when needed.
- Train using adaptive software which includes introduction to computer keyboard and use of various other programs such as Windows, word processing, internet, and email.
- Train staff and students on other specialty programs as well as portable note takers.
- Perform other teaching duties as assigned.
- Conduct initial evaluation of clients referred for training to determine level of skills, knowledge, and readiness for technology training.
- Maintain records of goals, participation in class, and progress of each student.
- Prepare periodic student progress reports.
- Develop lesson plans that reflect the daily objectives needed to meet established goals.
