Our Organization and MissionThe five Regional Counsel offices were created by the Legislature pursuant to Section 27.511, Fla. Stat. in 2007 to provide legal representation to indigent persons in criminal conflict cases where the Public Defender has a conflict or in cases where there are multiple co‑defendants. The Office of Criminal Conflict and Civil Regional Counsel, Fifth District (RC5) serves four judicial circuits and 13 counties, including Hernando County.
ResponsibilitiesThe primary objective of the attorney is to provide the most effective representation possible for indigent clients. Must be a member in good standing with The Florida Bar.
