The Axel Group is seeking an Assistant Project Manager for our client's team in land development. This organization specializes in residential land development projects and offers a dynamic environment for growth. This role provides hands-on experience in permitting, entitlement, budgeting, scheduling, and community development, with a clear pathway to increased responsibilities over time. The position reports to senior development leadership.
Responsibilities:- Support land development projects from conception through closeout.
- Assist with permitting, entitlements, and coordination with consultants, contractors, and local government agencies.
- Track budgets, schedules, milestones, invoices, and project expenses.
- Review bids and proposals, supporting contractor selection processes.
- Attend job sites, construction meetings, and key stakeholder meetings as needed.
- Support HOA and CDD board activities when required.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure projects stay on schedule and within budget.
- 3 to 5 years of land development experience.
- At least 2 years of experience in project management, real estate transactions, architecture/engineering, or infrastructure construction management.
- Ability to read and understand architectural and engineering plans.
- Strong organization, communication, and follow-through skills.
- Willingness to travel to job sites.
- Experience with Community Development Districts is a plus.
Salary range up to $120,000 annually.
Additional Details:This position is based in Florida with travel to various job sites as needed.
