Maintenance Technician / Mechanic, Industrial Maintenance
Position Summary
The Craftsperson Line Maintenance is responsible for performing maintenance functions on production and support equipment within assigned areas. This includes routine inspection, troubleshooting, and repair or replacement of defective components on machines and related systems, ensuring high-quality workmanship with minimal downtime.
This role also supports facility and utility equipment, including boiler systems, chillers, cooling towers, HVAC systems, air compressors, and other plant utilities. The position may involve installation, repair and maintenance of facility systems, process equipment, and building infrastructure.
Schedule- Shift: A Nights
- Hours:
6:00 PM – 6:00 AM - Days:
Sunday, Tuesday + every other Wednesday - Must be available to work non‑standard schedules and on‑call hours as needed
- Work in a cleanroom environment (fully gowned: smock, mask, hairnet, etc.)
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment and systems
- Troubleshoot and repair machinery, systems, and auxiliary equipment
- Monitor equipment performance and identify potential issues to minimize downtime
- Support continuous production operations and reduce interruptions
- Recommend and implement improvements to enhance equipment efficiency
- Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities
- Demonstrate knowledge of maintenance procedures, safety standards, and best practices
- Support installation, repair and maintenance of facility systems, utilities and equipment (e.g., HVAC, boilers, chillers, compressors)
Additional duties may be assigned by the Supervisor as needed.
QualificationsRequired
- High school diploma or GED
- 1+ year of related experience, including:
- Basic mechanical knowledge
- Exposure to maintenance or technical environments
- Familiarity with robotics or automated equipment
Preferred
- Mechatronics certification
- Experience in manufacturing, production, or cleanroom environments
- Basic understanding of maintenance principles, procedures, and best practices
- Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions
- Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- Cleanroom manufacturing environment (fully gowned throughout shift)
- Moderate noise levels in a production setting
- Exposure to moving machinery and, at times, dust, gases, or chemicals
- Physically active role requiring standing, walking, bending, and reaching
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs occasionally
- Frequent standing, walking, pushing and pulling
- Regular use of hands and arms for handling equipment
- Visual acuity required (with or without corrective lenses)
Hourly Range: $28.33 – $36.38. The targeted range for this role considers factors such as skills, experience, training, certifications and business needs.
