Welder / Fabricator – 1st & 2nd Shift (MIG Welding)

Daytona Beach, FL

Schedule:

Monday–Friday 1st shift 7am-3:30pm Monday
- Thursday 3pm-1am

Pay: $20-$25 based on experience and weld test

A busy metal fabrication shop in the Daytona Beach area is looking for skilled welders and fabricators to join its growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who take pride in high-quality workmanship, can read fabrication drawings, and enjoy working in a fast-paced production environment.

The welder/fabricator will be responsible for fitting, welding, and assembling metal components according to blueprints and shop drawings. Candidates must be experienced with MIG welding and comfortable working with structural steel, plate, and various fabrication tools. Attention to detail, reliability, and strong safety awareness are essential.

• Perform MIG welding on structural and miscellaneous metal components
• Read, interpret, and follow fabrication drawings and shop blueprints
• Fit, cut, and prep materials using fabrication tools (saws, torches, grinders, measuring tools, etc.)
• Assemble components to proper specifications and tolerances
• Operate basic shop equipment such as band saws, drill presses, grinders, and hand tools
• Inspect finished welds for quality, accuracy, and structural integrity
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment in accordance with shop safety standards
• Work independently or as part of a team to meet production deadline

• MIG welding experience required
• Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings/blueprints
• Experience working with structural steel or metal fabrication preferred
• Familiarity with fabrication equipment and hand tools
• Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate, quality welds
• Ability to stand for prolonged periods, lift materials, and work in an industrial environment
• Reliable transportation and strong work ethic

This is a contract to hire position based out of Daytona Beach, FL.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $23.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
