Physician Assistant- Hospitalist group

Position Summary

Independent Nurse Practitioner working within a multidisciplinary team, responsible for patient evaluation, history and physical examination, assessment of needs and delivery of appropriate treatment, and health teaching for adult and geriatric patients in an observation setting.

• Conduct patient evaluation, history taking, and physical examination.
• Assess patient needs and deliver appropriate treatment.
• Provide nursing care and health teaching to assigned adult and geriatric patients.
• Perform duties in accordance with the collaborative practice agreement required by the State of Florida.

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; MS in nursing required.
• Licensed by the State of Florida.
• Professional knowledge of nursing theory and practice.
• Extensive knowledge of physical assessment, differential diagnosis, pathophysiology, pharmacology, and management of acute and chronic patient problems.
