The Nurse Practitioner serves as an independent health‑care provider within a multidisciplinary health team, responsible for patient evaluation and care through comprehensive history and physical examination, assessment of needs, and delivery of appropriate treatment. The role includes providing nursing care and health teaching to an assigned group of adult and geriatric patients in an observation setting. All duties and responsibilities are performed in accordance with the collaborative practice agreement required by the State of Florida.

• Conduct patient evaluation through pertinent history and physical examination.
• Assess patient needs and deliver appropriate treatment.
• Provide nursing care and health education to assigned adult and geriatric patient groups.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members following the state’s collaborative practice agreement.

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; a Master’s in Nursing is required.
• Licensed by the State of Florida.
• Professional knowledge of nursing theory and practice.
• Extensive knowledge of physical assessment, differential diagnosis, pathophysiology, pharmacology, and management of acute and chronic patient problems.
