Advanced Practice Registered Nurse/Physician Assistant – Medical Oncology
The Nurse Practitioner is an independent healthcare provider who works collaboratively within a multidisciplinary health team to evaluate and care for patients. Primary responsibilities include performing pertinent history and physical examinations, assessing patient needs, and delivering appropriate treatment. The role involves providing nursing care and health teaching to an assigned group of adult and geriatric patients in an observation setting. All duties are performed in accordance with the collaborative practice agreement required by the State of Florida.
Qualifications- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (MS in Nursing required)
- Licensed by the State of Florida
- Professional knowledge of nursing theory and practice
- Extensive knowledge of physical assessment, differential diagnosis, pathophysiology, pharmacology, and management of acute and chronic patient problems
