Senior Certified Nursing Assistant
The Florida Department of Veterans' Affairs is an agency dedicated to serving those who served the U.S. We are seeking motivated, dynamic individuals! Our skilled nursing facility boasts a loyal team of long-term employees and a fantastic work culture. Multiple shifts available. This position is overtime eligible. Qualifying shifts (2:30 pm – 11:00 pm & 10:30 pm - 7:00 am) may be eligible for a $0.50 per hour shift differential.

Minimum qualifications include a current Florida licensure as a Certified Nursing Assistant, willingness and ability to work a schedule that includes weekends and holidays, and basic computer skills. Successful completion of the employment screening process to include a national background investigation and drug test is required.
Preferred qualifications include one (1) year of experience in a long-term care facility working with a geriatric population and a valid CPR certification.
Position description includes providing assistance with activities of daily living nursing care, observing and reporting resident concerns/needs, providing escort to resident appointments, completing assignments timely and accurately, performing restorative and simple nursing measures, measuring and recording vital signs, observing and reporting symptoms of potential skin breakdown and/or pressure ulcers, using appropriate techniques for mechanical lifts and positioning, providing end of life care, following facility established policies and procedures, responding to cognitively impaired residents, ensuring resident safety devices are used, documenting all care given, maintaining confidentiality, responding to residents' requests and needs timely and appropriately, answering resident call lights promptly, notifying the nurse of any changes in the resident's condition, completing assignments from the primary nurse or RN supervisor within the time allowed, attending all required facility training, and performing related work as required.
