RN - ICU

Registered Nurse (RN) - Day Shift 2x12.0 Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Day shift, working 2 shifts of 12 hours per week.

The Registered Nurse (RN) maintains the delivery of quality care by ensuring that the nursing care plan is followed. The RN supervises Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and orientees. The RN thrives in a safety-focused environment and adheres to company core values and standards.

• Perform nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission.
• Identify teaching needs and goals related to each patient's diagnosis and collaborate with patient/family and the interdisciplinary team.
• Document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and timely in the medical record.
• Participate in the patient rehabilitation program using the nursing process: assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care.
• Initiate discharge planning and patient teaching from the day of admission.
• Communicate pertinent information regarding changes in patient status to ensure continuity of care.
• Provide direction, training, and supervision of ancillary nursing personnel.
• Contribute to a positive and efficient work environment and support team building activities.
• Assure personal and environmental safety in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Assume charge responsibility as requested following the orientation period.

• BLS Certification required prior to first shift.
• ACLS certification required prior to first shift (for specific locations).
• Minimum of two (2) years of bedside clinical experience is required.
