RN - House Supervisor

Registered Nurse (RN) - Night Shift

This is a 13-week contract position.

Night shift, 3x12.0 hours.

The Registered Nurse (RN) maintains the delivery of quality care by ensuring the nursing care plan is followed. The RN supervises Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orientees while embracing Select Medical's core values and commitment to patient and employee safety.

• Perform a nursing assessment on all patients within 8 hours of admission and develop individualized care plans.
• Identify patient teaching needs and goals by collaborating with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team.
• Ensure accurate documentation of all assessments, interventions, and responses in the medical record per policy.
• Participate in the patient rehabilitation program and provide direct patient care using the nursing process.
• Initiate discharge planning and patient teaching from day of admission.
• Communicate changes in patient status to ensure continuity of care and support patient safety.
• Direct, train, and supervise nursing personnel while promoting a safe and positive work environment.
• Assure personal and environmental safety in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
• Contribute positively to the unit's functioning by providing calm direction and reassurance.
• Maintain communication with management regarding service needs and clinical training.
• Assume charge responsibility as needed after orientation.
• Actively pursue professional development through continuing education and self-study.
• Prioritize activities and plan effectively for patient and staff needs.

• BLS Certification required prior to first shift.
• ACLS Certification required prior to first shift (CIRH ONLY).
• Minimum of two (2) years of bedside clinical experience required.
