** What You'll Do:*
* + Provide customer service to students, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.

+ Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to site leadership and/or public responders as needed.

+ Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout campus buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.

+ Monitor access points and help to verify authorized entry, directing visitors and assisting with questions while following post orders and location protocols.

+ Support campus operations during special events, high-traffic periods, and after-hours activity by maintaining a visible presence and communicating notable issues through proper channels.

* Minimum Requirements:

*
* + Have 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience, or possess a college degree.

+ Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.

+ Possess an armed guard card or license.

+ Have 5+ years of security-related experience.

+ CPR certification is preferred.

+ Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

+ A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
