What You'll Do:
Provide customer service to students, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to site leadership and/or public responders as needed.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout campus buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
Monitor access points and help to verify authorized entry, directing visitors and assisting with questions while following post orders and location protocols.
Support campus operations during special events, high-traffic periods, and after-hours activity by maintaining a visible presence and communicating notable issues through proper channels.

Minimum Requirements:

Have 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience, or possess a college degree.
Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
Possess an armed guard card or license.
Have 5+ years of security-related experience.
CPR certification is preferred.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
