** What You'll Do:*
* + Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and authorized personnel by following access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.

+ Monitor entrances and exits, verify credentials, screen visitors, and document arrivals and departures to help support authorized access throughout the location.

+ Respond to incidents, access irregularities, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, reporting security-related concerns according to site protocols.

+ Communicate with site contacts, employees, visitors, and/or public personnel regarding entry requirements, restricted areas, and other security-related procedures.

+ Conduct regular and random patrols around entry points, lobbies, and the perimeter, as assigned, noting unusual activity and reporting observations through proper channels.

* Minimum Requirements:

*
* + Possess 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience, or a college degree.

+ Possess 1 or more years of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.

+ Possess an armed guard card or license.

+ Be at least 21 years of age.

+ Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

+ A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
