JOB

OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a hands‑on Technical Product Manager to lead the development and deployment of our residential and business VoIP platform. This role goes beyond traditional product management – we need someone who can roll up their sleeves, write code, directly contribute to the architecture, integration, and automation of our VoIP services while also driving the roadmap and managing stakeholder expectations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Design, implement, and optimize VoIP systems (SIP, RTP, SBCs, PBXs, etc.) for large‑scale residential and business deployments.
  • Write, review, and maintain code for system integrations, automation scripts, and APIs (e.g., provisioning, billing, CRM/OSS/BSS).
  • Own the end‑to‑end product lifecycle: requirements gathering, design, coding, testing, deployment, and support.
  • Collaborate with network engineers to integrate VoIP with fiber backbone infrastructure.
  • Manage vendor relationships for VoIP components (soft switches, SBCs, hosted platforms) while developing internal capabilities.
  • Implement monitoring, troubleshooting, and diagnostic tools to ensure uptime, QoS, and regulatory compliance (E911, CALEA).
  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications and deliverables.
REQUIRED SKILLS / ABILITIES:
  • Proficiency with SIP, RTP, WebRTC, SBCs, Asterisk/Free SWITCH/Kamailio or similar VoIP platforms.
  • Strong programming/scripting skills, with experience in RESTful APIs, JSON, and database integrations.
  • Experience deploying VoIP at scale (tens of thousands of endpoints or more).
  • Ability to lead cross‑functional teams while still contributing hands‑on code and technical solutions.
Preferred Skills
  • Telecom industry experience (fiber ISPs, CLECs, or hosted VoIP providers).
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements for VoIP (E911, STIR/SHAKEN, number portability).
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
  • 5+ years’ experience in VoIP engineering, software development, or technical product management.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Hybrid role, work may be performed remotely.
  • Travel to our service areas as required.
BENEFITS:
  • Salary + Bonus Eligible
  • Company‑paid premiums for medical, dental, and vision insurance for you and your dependents
  • Dynamic environment with diverse growth opportunities
  • Emphasis on learning and development to support career and personal growth
  • Work‑life balance - 120 hours paid time off (PTO) after 90‑day probation period
  • 40 hours of paid sick leave
  • 6 major paid holidays off
  • 401(k) plan with company match.
