Job Overview
Flight Simulation Software Engineer (Associate, Experienced, and Senior) – Boeing
Location:
Daytona Beach, FL
- Develop architecture, requirements, algorithms, interfaces, and designs for simulation software systems.
- Write and maintain code, integrating components into fully functional simulation systems.
- Create simulation environments to support testing performed by Mission Systems engineers.
- Develop tools to simulate, monitor, and control digital messages between subsystems in a lab environment.
- Support modeling of various aircraft capabilities and subsystems.
- Run constructive scenarios in a testing environment for product development and training.
- Work with an agile team to accomplish project goals and document research and development projects.
- Execute software development tasks under general direction.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Ability to obtain U.S. Secret Security Clearance and U.S. citizenship.
- 2+ years professional experience programming in C++.
- 2+ years experience as a Software Engineer.
- Associate / Level2:
Bachelor of Science in engineering, technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science with 2+ years related experience (or 6+ years directly related experience). - Experienced / Level3:
Bachelor of Science with 5+ years related experience (or 9+ years directly related experience). - Senior / Level4:
Bachelor of Science with 9+ years related experience (or 13+ years directly related experience). - Additional programming experience in C, C#, Python, Java, or Ada (or equivalent).
- Experience in Modeling & Simulation, defense or avionics industry.
- Experience working on an Agile team using Agile methodologies and tools.
- Strong coordination and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, collaborative team environment.
- Conflict of Interest:
Must satisfy the company’s COI assessment process. - Drug‑free workplace:

Code Vue coding challenge required for consideration. - Shift: Shift1 (United States of America).

- Competitive base pay with variable compensation based on experience.

- Pay ranges:
Associate $92,650–$125,350;
Experienced $118,150–$159,850;
Senior $149,600–$202,400. - Potential signing bonus for eligible/qualified external candidates.
