Primary PurposeCoordinate assignments and schedules of bus drivers, routes, and vehicles to ensure safe, efficient, and economical transportation services.
QualificationsEducation/Certification:
High school diploma or GED
Valid Texas commercial driver’s license
Special Knowledge/
Skills:
Effective telephone and communication skills
Ability to receive and give verbal instructions effectively
Ability to pass alcohol and drug test
Proficient map reading skills
Knowledge of WISD routes, streets, and bus stops, preferred
Experience:
Two year's experience as a certified school bus driver, preferred

Supervisory Responsibilities: None
Equipment used: Radio communication equipment, computer, and intercom system.
Working ConditionsMental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:
Frequent district-wide and occasional statewide travel; occasional prolonged and irregular hours. Frequent standing, stooping, bending, kneeling, pushing and pulling. Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds. Prolonged use of computer and repetitive hand motions.
