Financial Manager
We are now looking for a VP Finance to lead and evolve our financial steering within the Packaging Solutions Business Unit Western Europe. This is a pivotal leadership role where you will act as a strategic partner to the business, driving performance, value creation, and controlling excellence in a complex, international environment. As VP Finance, BU Western Europe, you hold end‑to‑end responsibility for finance business partnering, control, and performance management, while playing a key role in advancing data‑driven decision‑making and standardised processes.
This role is based at De Lier, Netherlands. The role has a primary reporting line to the SVP Controlling, Business Area Packaging Solutions, with a dotted line to the SVP BU Western Europe and is part of the Business Unit Western Europe Management Team.
- Act as Statutory Director for the relevant legal entities of Business Unit Western Europe, fulfilling formal governance and regulatory obligations alongside the operational finance role.
- Act as a strategic finance partner to the BU leadership, driving profitability, performance, and value creation.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and performance management, ensuring strong financial control and data‑driven decision‑making.
- Deliver actionable insights on pricing, profitability, and capital allocation across customers, products, and operations.
- Drive working capital efficiency, cash flow, and investment performance across the BU.
- Collaborate across a matrix organisation with Business Area and Group Finance, ensuring alignment, governance, and standardisation.
- Lead and develop a high‑performing finance team, strengthening capabilities in business partnering and controllership.
- 10+ years of finance experience, including senior roles such as VP Finance, Head of Controlling, BU/Head of Finance in manufacturing, packaging or other asset‑intensive environments.
- Proven experience with BU or site‑level P&L ownership and strong business partnering with commercial and operations leaders.
- Track record in transformation, integration, or ownership change, with ability to bring structure, transparency, and discipline into evolving organisations.
- Strong finance fundamentals: financial control, FP&A, planning, cash flow, working capital, and investment evaluation (IFRS knowledge required).
- Experience working in an international matrix organisation, collaborating with Group Finance and shared services.
- Hands‑on, analytical, and insight‑driven approach – able to translate financial data into clear business actions.
- Proven leadership capability with experience building and developing high‑performing finance teams.
- Relevant degree in Finance, Business, or Economics (professional qualification is a plus).
- Fluent English;
Dutch considered an advantage.
