Position Summary

The Service Sales Specialist is responsible for managing and growing the service business through strategic development, pricing, and contract structuring of preventive maintenance programs, emergency break‑fix services, and other aftermarket offerings.

This role acts as a key business partner in evaluating customer needs, determining service solutions, and ensuring the profitability and long‑term success of service agreements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, price, and structure service agreements and maintenance programs to ensure alignment with company profitability targets and operational capabilities.
  • Evaluate historical service data, equipment performance, and customer requirements to independently determine appropriate scope, risk considerations, and service solutions.
  • Exercise discretion in pricing recommendations, contract terms, and service delivery models, including non‑standard offerings where appropriate.
  • Negotiate service agreements, renewal terms, and scope adjustments with customers, balancing customer needs with company financial and operational objectives.
  • Serve as a subject matter advisor to customers and internal stakeholders on service strategies, lifecycle maintenance planning, and cost optimization.
  • Partner with service operations and leadership to influence service offering design, pricing strategies, and process improvements.
  • Ensure all proposals and contracts meet profitability, risk, and compliance standards before execution.
  • Lead the transition of sold work to operations, ensuring alignment on scope, financial expectations, and customer commitments.
  • Analyze contract performance and recommend adjustments to improve margins, service delivery efficiency, and customer retention.
  • Maintain CRM documentation to support business tracking and forecasting.
Qualifications
Required:
  • 2+ years of experience in service sales, contract management, or business operations within a technical or industrial environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze data, make business decisions, and influence outcomes.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM tools.
Preferred:
  • Experience with industrial or environmental equipment.
  • Familiarity with service contract structures, cost modeling, and lifecycle planning.
