Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of project management for large-scale self-perform concrete and masonry construction projects.
- Lead project teams to ensure timely, budget-conscious, and quality-driven delivery of all assigned work.
- Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and other technical documents to ensure compliance with client and company standards.
- Collaborate with estimating and pre-construction teams to develop budgets, schedules, and work plans.
- Manage procurement, subcontractor coordination, and vendor relationships to ensure project milestones are achieved.
- Maintain strong communication with clients, architects, engineers, and field teams to anticipate and resolve project challenges.
- Track project progress, costs, and documentation using construction management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam).
- Uphold the highest standards of safety and risk management on all job sites.
- Provide mentorship and leadership to project engineers and site supervisors to foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5-10 years of experience in project management within a general contracting or self-perform environment.
- Demonstrated expertise in managing large-scale concrete or masonry construction projects.
- Strong working knowledge of construction principles, drawings, and specifications.
- Proficiency in construction management software such as Procore and Bluebeam.
- Advanced knowledge of concrete construction methods and materials.
- Experience in pre-construction planning, estimating, and cost forecasting.
- Strong financial and budgeting skills with a focus on cost control and profitability.
- Background in safety management and risk mitigation strategies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Leadership and team-building abilities.
- Strategic planning and organizational skills.
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving.
- Strong attention to detail and time management.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
