Estimating Manager - De Pere, Wisconsin

Mission Hires, on behalf of a a respected and growing commercial construction company in South Green Bay, Wisconsin, is seeking an experienced Estimating Manager to help lead its preconstruction efforts. This is a newly created position driven by continued growth and increased project volume—not a replacement.

As the Estimating Manager, you'll play a key role in developing competitive bids, improving estimating processes, collaborating with operations and project management, and helping position the company for continued success. • Prepare accurate and competitive estimates for commercial construction projects.
• Review construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and develop detailed labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor cost estimates.
• Solicit, evaluate, and negotiate subcontractor and supplier pricing.
• Identify project risks, value engineering opportunities, and cost-saving solutions.
• Work closely with project managers and operations teams to ensure successful project turnover.
• Help improve estimating standards, procedures, and best practices.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, architects, and clients.
• Manage multiple bids and deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Support business development efforts by helping secure profitable projects.
• Conduct annual performance reviews; set goals and expectations
• Hold bi-weekly one-on-ones to sustain open, candid communication and team synergy

• 5+ years of commercial construction estimating experience.
• Commercial drywall or interior construction estimating experience is strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of commercial construction methods, materials, and estimating practices.
• Experience preparing detailed quantity takeoffs and conceptual estimates.
• Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
• Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple departments.
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

• Competitive Base Salary: $115,000–$150,000
