FORWARD SERVICE CORPORATION’S (FSC) UPWARD BOUND PROGRAMS
A three-week position supervising and mentoring high school students, plus two in-service/training days. Working days will be as follows:
- Training (July 1-2):
Full-day training bert College, Depere - Week 1 (July 6-10):
On Campus working with students and overnight in dorms - Week 2 (July 13-17):
On Campus working with students and overnight in dorms - Week 3 (July 20-24):
Travel with students to tour campuses and businesses - Overnight accommodations and meal provided
UB Summer Counselor:
- Total of $2,400 plus an additional $100 for each returning year. Maximum pay of
Payment is paid in two installments: half mid-program and half at end.

- Supervise, guide, tutor, and mentor students
- Supervise recreation, program activities and meals
- Rotating night supervision
- Assist in the development and implementation of activities in the residence unit
- Chaperone one‑day and multi‑day field trips
- Prepare reports on academics, student behavior, meals, and accidents
- Participate in training and other staff meetings
- Help gather the students in morning for breakfast
- Rest of the morning off‑duty
- Afternoon assist in workshop and academic sessions
- Opportunity to lead a session
- Dinner supervision
- Create and facilitate evening activities
- Evening student round up and check‑in
Fridays and Travel Days - varied schedules
Qualifications- As of June 2026, must be at least sophomore status with at least one year of experience at a post secondary education institution with a GPA of at least 2.75
- Have a high level of maturity, adaptability, ability to work on a team, self‑disciplined
- Have familiarity with and sensitivity to the needs of adolescents
- Have strong leadership skills, highly accountable, and be reliable
- Can work with minimal supervision
- Hold a valid driver’s license
