The Project Manager is responsible for leading multiple equipment rebuild, repair, and modification projects within the environmental air pollution control industry. This role oversees all aspects of project execution, including engineering, scheduling, budgeting, scope management, procurement, and customer communication. Working cross-functionally with internal departments and external vendors, the Project Manager ensures projects are completed safely, efficiently, on time, and within budget while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
YourTasks
- Manages multiple equipment rebuild, repair, and modification projects, often on accelerated timelines.
- Oversees projects in the environmental air pollution control industry for customers across North America and Asia.
- Performs project and process engineering activities.
- Develops, maintains, and monitors project schedules.
- Forecasts and manages project costs, budgets, and scope changes.
- Serves as the primary point of contact and manages all customer communications.
- Develops mechanical scopes of work for projects.
- Requisition s and coordinates mechanical equipment and subcontractors.
- Collaborates closely with Sales, Purchasing, Accounting, Manufacturing, Field Operations, and Service departments.
- Ensures projects are completed successfully, on time, and within budget.
- Travels as needed to support project requirements, including potential international travel.
- Bachelor of Science Degree in appropriate subject (e.g. Engineering, Construction Management)
- Two years of experience as Project Manager of Industrial Equipment Manufacturing
- Position related experience in similar industry strongly preferred
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Proficient with Microsoft Office:
Word, Excel, and Power Point - Knowledge of SAP is a plus
- Ability to understand and maintain project schedules
- Good time management skills
- Good organizational skills
- Good verbal communication skills
- Good technical writing skills
- Able to effectively communicate with engineering and estimating departments, contractors, suppliers, and customers
- Able to work well independently and in a team environment
- Able to technically define problems and propose solutions
- Adaptable to change in a learning environment
- Willing and able to work overtime, weekends, and holidays when necessary
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles.
- Invoicing according to Contract Terms.
- Basic knowledge of Controls Engineering is a plus.
- Electrical hardwire drawings
- Basic PLC control principles
- Basic knowledge of sheet metal & structural fabrication.
- Basic understanding of heavy equipment installation procedures.
- Travel - up to 25%
