Meticulous Quality Technician Wanted In De Pere, WI!

Our team at Transmotion is looking for a dependable, self‑motivated person to join us full‑time and ensure we deliver the highest‑quality work possible. You'll oversee our daily operations to make sure all employees and activities align with expectations and standards. Pay:

Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm

Quality Technician Responsibilities:
  • Walking through manufacturing facilities to ensure compliance with safety standards, company procedures, and quality expectations
  • Performing dimensional inspections at various stages of the production process using measurement instruments (calipers, gauges, and a coordinate‑measuring machine (CMM))
  • Verifying the conformance of incoming materials and maintaining traceability documentation across production stages
  • Documenting nonconformities, corrective actions, follow‑ups, investigations, and resolutions
  • Drafting instructions and quality‑related forms
  • Compiling data reports and tracking performance metrics (PPM, OTD, COQ, etc.)
  • Completing all levels of PPAP documentation as needed
  • Interpreting customer drawings and specifications
  • Participating in training sessions and leading by example
  • Conducting internal ISO 9001 audits and ensuring adherence to quality management system requirements
  • Overseeing metrology devices, coordinating calibrations, and maintaining calibration records
  • Using laser particle analysis and microscopic inspection systems to conduct routine laboratory fluid‑cleanliness testing
  • Overseeing quality functions for the Transmotion division and collaborating with cross‑site teams to ensure consistent, company‑wide coverage
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
  • Associate degree or 2+ years of relevant experience in a field like quality or manufacturing
  • Ability to travel 25–50%, including drives up to 5 hours and occasional long‑distance trips
  • High technology proficiency, ability to type 35+ wpm, and the ability to learn new applications and approaches
  • Ability to balance competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment and promptly address concerns

    Ability to analyze data and trends to solve problems, make decisions, and implement effective solutions
  • Ability to work independently, set your own goals, and manage your time efficiently
  • Ability to read tape measures and digital calipers
  • Clear and professional verbal/written communication skills
  • Intermediate Microsoft skills (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
  • Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division)
  • Knowledge of RCA techniques
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record
Our Ideal Quality Technician
  • Experience with internal auditing for ISO-9001 or comparable QMS systems
  • Quality control certifications
  • Lean or Six Sigma certification
  • Understanding of ISO 9001:2015
  • Knowledge of PPAP, SPC, flow charts, control plans, and FMEA creation and revision
