Pouch Operator; 1st Shift - Plant

Belmark is seeking a Web-to-Print® Pouch Operator to be responsible for setup and operation of multiple high‑speed converting assets. • A pre‑employment drug test and a background check are required if offered the position.

• 1st shift hours are from 6:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m., Monday – Friday

• $21 – $23 per Hour. The hourly rate for this position is determined by the level of the role, relevant experience, and may incorporate shift differentials, ensuring fair compensation that reflects both expertise and responsibilities entailed.

• Responsible to follow all safety procedures as required by the role, and to nurture a food safety culture by adhering to all Safe Quality Foods requirements.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings required to set up production jobs.
• Set up, run, and make adjustments on the pouch machine independently.
• Make process adjustments dependent upon quality attributes and run speed.
• Consistently perform at or above defined waste, run and change‑over target metrics.
• Ability to train other operators.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

• Requires education equivalent to two (2) years of high school education, or equivalent work experience in a manufacturing/production environment.
• Knowledge of and the ability to effectively utilize the English language.
• Requires at least three to five years of machine operating experience.
  
  Regular attendance is required. May be required to work some overtime.
• Requires nearly constant concentration and attention to detail.
• Must be able to use a ruler, calculator and various hand tools.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide whole numbers.
• Ability to see clearly at 20 inches or less; identify and distinguish colors; see and identify moving images for color or registration.
• Ability to use hands and feet to operate machines for 100% of work time; stoop, kneel or crouch for 15% of work time, or walk for 10% of work time.
• Ability to lift 25 pounds or less 20% of work time; 50 pounds or less 50% of work time; 75 pounds or less 20% of work time.
• May be required to lift up to 100 pounds or more.
