CA Lawton in De Pere WI is looking for a Machinist for our Machine Shop. Metal Machinists set up and operate machine tools to shape and form metal stock and castings to fine tolerances, using detailed drawings and specifications.

• 1st shift 6:00 AM-4:00 PM Monday–Thursday (plus overtime as needed on Fridays)

• Operate and maintain lathes (VTL) adjusting feed and speed settings as required
• Review instructions, blueprints, or samples to ensure accurate production
• Takes precise measurements for cutting and shaping
• Select appropriate settings for a given task, in an ISO certified shop environment
• Plan proper sequence of tasks to complete the assignment successfully
• Check output for quality assurance and document results
• Identify needs and perform machine maintenance and minor repairs
• Maintain a clean and safe workstation and environment
• Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related tasks and requests as needed
• Operate forklift and other machinery as required in a safe, responsible manner

• Experience with large OD micrometers, live tooling, Vertical Turret Lathes (VTL), mills and Fanuc controls with 2 to 5 years of experience is preferred
• Excellent coordination and mechanical skills
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and safety at all times
• Experience working with machine tools or mechanical assembly
• Ability to use precision tools and large micrometers to take accurate measurements
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and manuals accurately
• Solid written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with safe forklift operations – certification preferred but not required
• Ability to lift to 50 pounds and perform repetitive tasks
