Experience Depth: 5 to 10 years of manufacturing supervisory experience within a high-volume production, web handling, paper, coating, or converting environment preferred. Labor Expertise:
Prior experience leading teams within a unionized facility, maintaining a strong understanding of professional contract administration and conflict resolution.
Work Schedule:
Rotating 12-hour shifts (alternating days and nights) featuring a built-in 6-day block off every 3 weeks. Earning Potential: $70,000 to $90,000 starting base salary + significant weekend premiums (Time-and-a-half Saturdays / Double-time Sundays) + extensive corporate benefits. Elite Benefits:

WhatYou Will Be Doing
- Shift Floor Leadership:
Providing daily leadership, motivation, and operational direction for 25–30 hourly employees within a unionized coating and production environment. - Operational Management:
Managing shift production schedules, maintaining rigorous quality standards, and enforcing strict departmental safety compliance. - Quality & Technical Liaison:
Overseeing in-process quality documentation and coordinating corrective actions with Technical and Engineering departments. - Maintenance Partnership:
Partnering closely with the Maintenance team to maximize equipment reliability, minimize downtime, and manage active work order priorities. - Workforce Development:
Directing employee attendance, daily job assignments, and specialized cross-training requirements to maximize operational flexibility. - Digital Metrics Tracking:
Utilizing localized ERP systems for real-time production reporting, inventory management, and operational documentation. - Continuous Improvement:
Supporting continuous improvement initiatives (Lean/Six Sigma) to optimize floor safety, line productivity, and material cost-efficiency.
- Regulated Manufacturing Pedigree: 5 to 10 years of verifiable supervisory experience in high-volume, fast-paced manufacturing; experience in paper science, coating, web handling, pressure-sensitive films, or converting is a strong plus.
- Labor Relations Literacy:
Comfortable navigating the nuances of a collective bargaining agreement, maintaining fair labor practices, and administering contracts with professional diplomacy. - Schedule Commitment:
Full ability and willingness to work a rotating 12-hour day/night shift schedule, including alternating weekends. - Technical Literacy:
Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook) and comfort utilizing complex ERP or inventory tracking software. - Employment Reliability: A rock-solid, stable work history demonstrating long-term commitment and reliable performance with previous employers; frequent job-hopping is a disqualifier.
