1st Shift: Monday–Thursday: 5:30am – 3:00pm & Friday: 5:30am – Noon
Position SummaryThe Door Quality Inspector is responsible for inspecting cabinetry components, particularly doors, to ensure they meet established customer and company quality standards. This role involves identifying defects, verifying accuracy to specifications, and making or coordinating necessary corrections to maintain product integrity and appearance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Organize and complete work according to the work schedule
- Prepare unfinished wood cabinet door orders for the Finishing process
- Verify dimensions and check the quality to ensure adherence to specifications and work order
- Putty, trim, sand, or scrape surfaces of product as needed
- Ensure door jobs are complete including; doors, moldings, veneers, plywood’s, and solid stock
- Other duties as assigned
- Keep the work area clean and organized.
- Follow all safety rules and contribute to a safe work environment.
- Participate and contribute to a “Team” environment.
- Other duties as assigned.
- No required education or job experience.
- Ability to learn and retain on the job training.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to read measurement tools such as a tape measure.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
- Ability to carry out detailed written or oral instructions in English.
- Ability to meet quality standards - strong attention to detail and quality.
- Knowledge of materials, methods, and tools involved in the construction of cabinet doors
Ability to perform the essential functions of the position including, but not be limited to the following:
- Sit, walk, and reach with hands and arms.
- Stand for extended periods of time.
- Moving, bending, standing, kneeling, lifting and carrying material weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Pushing/pulling, grasping/squeezing, pinching, fine motor dexterity.
- Exposure to high noise levels and requires wearing hearing protection in designated areas.
- Exposure to plant environment to include moving parts, fumes, dust. Safety glasses to be worn at all times.
- Endure heat and cold conditions in the plant.
