Come join our team as a Platemaker in our Flexible Packaging division!

Schedule:

Shift 2B – 3:00pm – 3:00am

3 days on, 1 day off; 3 days on, 7 days off


* This is not a swing shift. Work hours remain 3:00pm – 3:00am.
Pay:

$23 – $24 per hour starting pay
$2.00 per hour shift differential

What will I do in this role?
  • Operate plate making and plate finishing machines to prepare printing plates
  • Trim, scribe, and complete plates while ensuring production timelines are met
  • Prioritize incoming jobs and plate remakes to avoid production delays
  • Maintain and operate plate making equipment, including related systems
  • File negatives and artwork accurately and efficiently
  • Keep the plate room clean, organized, and fully stocked
  • Reorder and restock supplies as needed
  • Perform monthly inventory of platemaking supplies
  • Track and report plate remakes (number and type)
  • Follow all safety procedures, quality standards, and work instructions
  • Support food safety requirements in alignment with Safe Quality Foods standards
  • Collaborate with team members to meet deadlines and production goals
  • Assist with additional duties as assigned by your supervisor

Minimum Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
  • Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, decimals, and fractions)
  • Ability to operate plate making and finishing equipment
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain focus for extended periods
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Professional and friendly communication skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work overtime as needed
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand for approximately 75% of the workday and walk for 20%
  • Ability to lift up to 10 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • Close vision required (clear focus at 20 inches or less)
