Web-to-Print Coater Operator- Packaging; 2nd Shift - Plant

Web-to-Print® Coater Operator

• Operate a coater at the highest efficiency possible following standard operating procedures and work instructions to produce high-quality finished film.
• Finish flexible packaging film from flexo presses and Web-To-Print presses.
• Inspect printed and/or laminated film for quality and complete the appropriate paperwork.
• Provide fast turnaround of orders to meet customer needs.
• Set up and operate the coater, including webbing and cleanup; mount plates as needed.
• Perform routine coating press maintenance and move rolls to the next job stage.
• Identify and remove defective product; maintain a clean work area and machine.
• Follow all safety procedures and nurture a food-safety culture by adhering to Safe Quality Foods requirements.
• May work in other departments as assigned by supervisor.

• Six (6) months experience setting up and operating a press is preferred but not required.
• Ability to read, comprehend and follow simple written and oral instructions.
• Ability to effectively use English (writing, speaking, reading).
• Regular attendance; may require overtime or flexible hours on short notice.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic and to read measurements.
• Ability to identify and meet deadlines with attention to detail.
• Physical ability to stand for long periods, bend, and lift up to 75 pounds as needed.
• Ability to operate tools and use a ruler and calculator.
• Must be able to set up and operate a coater.

• 2nd shift: 2:00 p.m. – 12:00 a.m., Monday – Thursday.
• Pay: $21 – $23 per hour; pay varies with role level, experience, and shift differentials. Shift differential: $1.00 more per hour on 2nd shift.
