Operations Leader – Large-Scale Manufacturing (Unionized Facility)

Up to $90,000 Commensurate with Experience + Premiums for Weekends
• Greater Green Bay Area
• Rotating 12-Hour Shifts
• Permanent Position

PAY:
Starting Base Salary of $70,000 – $90,000 + Extra Pay for Weekend Work (Time-and-a-Half on Saturdays / Double-Time on Sundays) + Exceptional Corporate Perks

SCHEDULE:

Rotation between 12-Hour Shifts (days and nights) with a 6-day break every 3 weeks

5 to 10 years of leadership in high-volume manufacturing, with a background in coating, paper, web handling, converting, or packaging

Leading a team of hourly workers in the coating department, you will ensure daily production targets are met while driving continuous improvement. You can expect excellent compensation and benefits, a flexible schedule with regular time off, and a workplace known for long employee tenure.

Daily Responsibilities
  • Lead and mentor a team of 25–30 hourly workers in a high-speed, unionized production environment.
  • Supervise production activities to ensure quality, safety, and throughput targets are met.
  • Collaborate with Maintenance and Engineering teams to optimize equipment performance and minimize downtime.
  • Assign tasks, track attendance, and implement cross-training to enhance workforce flexibility.
  • Coordinate quality control efforts and work with technical teams on corrective actions.
  • Utilize ERP systems for real-time production tracking and reporting.
  • Implement Lean/5S initiatives to improve safety, efficiency, and waste reduction.
Requirements & Qualifications
  • 5–10 years of supervisory experience in high-volume manufacturing (experience in web handling, paper, coating, converting, or films preferred).
  • Experience working in a unionized environment, including contract administration and conflict resolution.
  • Willingness to work a rotating 12-hour schedule and weekends.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
  • Stable work history and proximity to Greater Green Bay, WI.
