- Sweep and Shovel sand and keep areas clean
- Dry molds after adding wash to molds by spraying or swabbing
- Setting cores in molds
- Read and follow process sheets
- Core clean up, filing, sanding molds, wash molds, closing molds
- Using basic hand, air tools and hand hoists
- Forklift operation as required
- Weigh down molds
- Prepare core and drag molds for closing
- High school diploma required.
- Previous experience in a foundry preferred.
- Experience in automatic molding and core-making machines a plus.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
- Must be able to tolerate hot working conditions and a loud environment
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must be available to work assigned shifts and overtime as production requirements dictate.
- Occasional weekend work may be required.
