Job Title:

Lead Vehicle Maintenance Mechanic (Truck Shop) 2nd Shift.

Location:

De Queen, Arkansas.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to oversee and perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.

• Must be out of 60-day probation.
• Six month’s experience with Pilgrims De Queen required.
• Must have a good attendance record with 2 points or less.
• Oversee, from a mechanical standpoint, truck equipment.
• Perform PM on the equipment
• Prepare work orders for any defects found during the PM inspection.
• Must be able to work safely
• Other duties as assigned

• Oversee daily shop operations
• Repair and maintain all system of a Class 8 tractor (we do not perform major engine repairs)
• Perform DOT inspections
• Replace filters, brakes, and tires as necessary
  
  Perform electrical diagnosis
• Diagnose problems and repair as needed
• Communicate with drivers to address maintenance issues
• Perform preventative maintenance
• Work and daily jobs will be assigned by the Service Manager
• Able to work nights and weekends
• Ability to work walking/standing for long periods of time
• Must be dependable
• Ability to work without close supervision
