Based on Experience We are partnering with a growing manufacturing organization to staff a Sr. Cost Analyst position to support plant operations through cost accounting, inventory analysis, financial reporting, and budgeting activities. This role plays a key part in maintaining accurate inventory valuation, product costing, month-end close processes, and operational financial analysis. This is a full-time, direct hire, fully onsite role in DeSoto, KS.Senior

Cost Analyst Responsibilities:

Establish and maintain standard costs for manufactured products

Analyze manufacturing, labor, and inventory variances

Support month-end close, account reconciliations, and journal entries

Review and maintain BOMs and routings for new products

Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and operational cost analysis

Partner with operations, engineering, and purchasing teams on cost improvement initiatives

Support inventory cycle counts, physical inventories, and fixed asset audits

Analyze ERP and financial data to support continuous improvement projects

Requirements for Senior Cost Analyst:5+ years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment

Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting principles

Advanced Excel skills and ERP experience with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent work experienceCMA, CPA, or MBA designation is a plusIND
