Attached job description is a snapshot of our Center-Based Paraprofessionals. Duties will vary depending on school and classroom placement.
Position FunctionSubstitute paraprofessional positions are needed across the district to fill paraprofessional absences. The Paraprofessional assists the instructor in creating a positive work environment to facilitate the personal, social, and intellectual development of students. The Paraprofessional monitors student behavior and provides necessary information to school personnel.
Qualifications Profile- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience working with children, preferred
- Current Certification of Health, including negative TB test
- Completion of clear criminal background check
$15.75/hour - commensurate with experience
Job CategoryClassified, 174 work day calendar, hours will vary
Requirements- All employees must have a current TB test. If you've had a recent TB test (less than 12 months ago) we can accept a copy of your test results. If it’s been more than 1 year ago, you will be required to obtain a new test. Employees are responsible for the cost of the test.
- Must submit pre-employment physical prior to first day of work.
