Overview
The Future Talent Program offers a 6‑month Cooperative (Co‑op) education experience within our Global Engineering Solutions (GES) Manufacturing Division. This role is part of a biopharmaceutical manufacturing organization focused on life‑saving medicines and vaccines.
Responsibilities- Apply technical knowledge, data analysis, and troubleshooting skills to support pharmaceutical manufacturing processes and facilities.
- Work in a team‑based environment, communicating effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Develop leadership skills in team building, vendor management, and process equipment development/design.
- Support a Biologics/Vaccine Project in Animal Health as a Process Engineer.
- Engage in equipment life‑cycle activities including specification, selection, testing & commissioning, troubleshooting, and qualification.
- Collaborate with contracting and supplier teams and internal IPT members.
- Manage project and time‑management responsibilities to deliver quality work on schedule.
- Travel domestically as required. Base location is DeSoto, Kansas.
- Currently enrolled in the Junior or Senior year of an accredited bachelor’s or master’s degree program in Chemical, Biomedical, Mechanical or related Engineering discipline.
- Outstanding academic record and demonstrated leadership abilities.
- Analytical, inquisitive mindset with strong problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and team‑player orientation.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Prior internship or co‑op experience in manufacturing or engineering, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Experience with capital equipment specification, installation, and qualification.
- Knowledge of unit‑operation specification, P&t, hazard analysis, equipment operation, commissioning & qualification.
- Understanding of cost and schedule constraints for engineering projects.
- Experience in engaging with contractors, suppliers, and cross‑functional teams.
Annual salary range: $39,600.00 – $ USD.
Work ArrangementHybrid work model for office‑based positions: three on‑site days (Monday–Thursday) and one remote day (Friday). Requirements for field‑based, facility‑based, or manufacturing positions remain on site.
